Fees

No charge for 25min initial phone consultation

$50 for in-office 25min consultation

$100 per 50 minute session for individuals

$100 per 50 minute session for couples and family groups

It is important to me to remain affordable for individuals seeking counseling, therefore I reserve a few time slots available for a sliding-scale fee for those who are struggling with financial hardship.  If you are wanting to pursue these time slots, please let me before we first meet so we can establish a rate.

Cash, check, or credit card are accepted for payment.

Insurance

In-Network Insurance

I am a Network Provider with the following insurance companies:

  • First Choice Health
  • United Health/UBH/Optum
  • Group Health
  • MHN
  • Regence – Blue Cross
  • Aetna

With these insurance companies, you only pay me your copayment amount, and I will bill the insurance for the remainder amount.  You are responsible for any amount not covered by the insurance for any reason.

Other Insurance

(Premier, Value Options, etc.) Most insurance plans have mental health benefits for out-of-network providers. I can work with you to understand what your insurance benefits cover. You will pay me up front for sessions. I then provide you a billing statement at the beginning of the month for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

(Applecare, Medicaid, etc.) I am Network Provider for some Applecare.  The medicaid plan may require you to have a referral from a medical doctor to seek mental health care.  Let me know if you are wanting to use Applecare coverage, and we can look together to see what your plan may require.

Cancellation Policy

Once we decide to work together, it is best to find appointment times that work for both of us, and will be consistent from week to week.  You are reserving a time slot.  For the duration of our work together, I expect payment for each appointment regardless of whether you have attended.  You are not charged for the sessions when I am unavailable because of illness or a preplanned absence.

First Session/Forms

The first session is usually a time where we can address why you are seeking counseling, address any questions, and explore if we would be a good fit.  I can also explain what counseling together will look like. Before our first meeting, please take a moment to print out the Disclosure Form and Intake Form and bring then into the first session. For children, the Child Intake Form, Disclosure Statement, and Agreement for Psychotherapy with a Minor (if applicable) need to be completed by the parent and child.  The Disclosure Form explains my background, privacy policies, and various details of my practice, and helps you understand what rights you have as a patient.

Length of Treatment

Psychotherapy is a process of commitment to change.  It involves meeting once or twice a week, sometimes every other week depending on your needs as well as my recommendation.  The regular contact between patient and therapist is important, for it allows a healing conversation to grow.  This is an investment in a change in your life.
